Gansey couldn't remember the last time that Ronan had looked so free, so excited without there being a hint of danger or something dark accompanying the expression. Ronan looked truly happy, proud of his creation without the guilt or fear that sometimes accompanied his dreaming. Perhaps he'd been this elated when he told them the truth about Chainsaw, but this version of Ronan seemed lighter than the one back then.
"I stopped worrying about anything that came out of your head months ago." Once Ronan learned control, Gansey had never worried. Nothing of Ronan's would harm him.

He tried to think of what it reminded him of, but there were too many possibilities, too many strange sensations that he couldn't quite grasp the correct description.
