[Action | Open] Tennis anyone?
Who: Ronan Lynch, OTA
What: Ronan's first day.
When: Before Halloween, after the start of the semester because he enrolled late.
Where: Around campus, between classes, tennis practice, food court, pick a place.
Warnings: Cursing, mostly. Will add as needed.
~*~
The only color Ronan is wearing other than black is the rainbow scarf Noah gave him. Black boots, black jeans, black t-shirt, black jacket, black gloves, black tattoo peaking out from under the scarf. Feathers that crawl up his neck and wrap around his shoulders, the edges of a $900 tattoo he says he got to piss off his brother, Declan. He has his earbuds in, music screaming against his eardrums, drowning out the world while he studies the map of the campus and locates buildings. A single bag strapped to his back, also black, filled with what few books he deemed important enough to carry around and a notebook with all of his notes written in Latin. His current declared major is Agriculture. But he's testing the ground he's walking on because it's the first time he's been away from home and it's the first time he's dared to dream a life outside of the Barns and Henrietta. He doesn't give a shit about school, to be honest. Not when he can dream an entire world for himself. But Gansey and Noah are here and so this is where he needs to be.

If he won't do that, drastic measures will of course need to be taken.

The look he gives eventually is a simple 'what the fuck do you want', but he doesn't remove the earbud. Not yet. He's an ass, but not a complete ass.

She put a hand up to her mouth, opening in surprise and horror!
If Ronan fell for her feint, she would reach out and pluck one of the earbuds out of his ear.
no subject
He doesn't easily fall for things like this. He has two brothers, Adam, Noah, Gansey, and a magical forest to keep him on his toes.

Frustration gets the better of her and she yells. "Take your earbuds out! I'm trying to say hello!"

no subject
"Asshole," she finally mutters.
no subject
He raised an eyebrow as if to ask the obvious question. 'Who are you?'

"I just moved into Residence Hall 2. I noticed you over here and figured I'd say hi."
She was starting to regret said decision.

"Most people see me and find an alternate route." Blue had grown on him. Also, it occurs to him that no one here is going to react to the Lynch name the way people did back home. "If you're going to approach strangers you can't get pissy when they don't respond the way you want them to respond. That's why they're called strangers. People who require no effort to get to know are boring."
no subject
"But there's something to that, I suppose, since I'm still here." He wasn't terribly unlike Cronus, before Cronus decided to do his whole 'greaser' thing. Smug and self-assured and lacking in anything resembling consideration.
"I've had more luck getting along with people that are harder to get along with." Social outcasts, as it were.

He checked his watch.
"Here's a challenge. Help me find the tennis courts."
no subject
Something drew her to him, that was worth following up on. But then he says 'tennis courts' and she may have to think twice.
"You place tennis?"
All the same she reaches out for his map.
no subject
He hands the map over easily enough, but he's also skeptical about her answer. She wouldn't have stuck around this long if she didn't consider him some sort of a challenge. Or maybe she just likes assholes.
no subject
Maybe she's being unfair. Maybe Ronan loves tennis and sweaters. She can't imagine why, but they exist. Someone must like them.
no subject
Gansey will probably find he loves knitting and make him some hideously colored sweater which he will wear playing tennis just to make his friend laugh.

"There's the Rec Center here," she said, pointing it out on the map. That sparked something she maybe remembered? She handed him the map and pulled out a pamphlet for the campus from her bag. She opened it up to the fold with the rec center, which showed several racket-ball tables setup.
"It's not a tennis court, but maybe they'll be able to point us in the right direction?"
